You probably haven't thought much about The Rapture since May, but HBO is hoping you have plenty of fear and contemplation left in the tank for the network's new potential series, The Leftovers.
Based on author Tom Perrotta's upcoming novel (he also wrote Little Children and Election), would focus on the Rapture, and how the sudden disappearance of loved ones affects a small town. No casting is finalized yet as The Leftovers is in very early stages, but it sounds like a show that could be the HBO answer to The Walking Dead, with religion instead of zombies.
