Starting today, you can find out what the weather conditions are wherever you're headed right from the screen in Google Maps, thanks to the new weather layer. It seems like a simple innovation, and given the wide availability of weather by zip code, one might wonder why we're just now seeing it in Google Maps; but the important thing is you'll no longer have to use a dedicated website or app to find out what the weather is like where you're going, which will certainly make our lives easier this weekend.
