Gamefly, the online game rental service that lets gamers swap out rentals in envelopes a la Netflix, has announced that it will soon introduce a new way for its users to access computer games. Starting next year you'll be able to select from a library of over 1,500 PC and Mac games to purchase and download.

Traditionally you've only been able to rent physical copies of games from Gamefly, but the company is expanding into the digital retail space as games are undergoing the digital revolution that has previously hit music and movies.
