After strong pre-sales and a successful initial release, the Nintendo 3DS has lost momentum.  With key games like Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Star Fox 64 3D missing from the launch and the eShop not being available until June, folks have taken more of a wait-and-see tactic in regards to the handheld.  As we know, the price of the 3DS is getting slashed on Friday—though some retailers have already reduced the price—and for those of you who have holding out for more colors, the 3DS will be available in Flame Red on September 9.  Star Fox 64 3D is releasing on the same day, so we’ll see if all of these factors can help Nintendo get back their mojo.
