Excited about the MTV Video Music Awards yet? Of course you aren't, but you might actually have a reason to sit through the show after all. According to Collider, the first footage from the highly-anticipated adaptation of The Hunger Games will debut during the show.
The Hunger Games exists in the post-apocalyptic world where the government chooses one teenage boy and one girl to fight to the death for the entertainment of its citizens. The movie stars Jennifer Lawrence, Donald Sutherland, and Woody Harrelson.
MTV will also be putting the footage online immediately after the show. That's certainly good news for anyone that doesn't want to sit through another dreadful installment of the VMAs.
The Hunger Games will be released on March 23, 2012.
