It looks like the final season of Chuck is pulling out all the stops when it comes to geek icons. On the heels of the news that producers had cast Luke Skywalker himself (Mark Hamill) in a guest villain role for the season five premiere comes word that Trinity will be joining the series as well. In non-geek-speak: Carrie-Anne Moss has been cast as a recurring villain with a possible heart-of-gold.

Moss will play Gertrude Verbanski, the CEO of a spy company that plays rival to the one Chuck (Zachary Levi) started last season. She also has an apparent romantic history with Casey (Adam Baldwin) that will likely muck up the works as well.

Moss has lent her voice to such video games as Mass Effect 2 in recent years. This will the first major television appearance since The Matrix.
