Brad Pitt has been called a real-life hero after he rescued an extra who was knocked over on the set of World War Z in Glasgow last week. The actor, who has been busy battling zombies, rushed over and carried a woman on his shoulder before she was trampled by a mass of extras. The incident occurred in Glasgow's George Square and contained 700 people in a scene which found the residents attempting to get away from the incoming zombie mob.
Stepping into the cape and cowl of a superhero, Pitt's actions have made him endearing to the thousands who have turned out to see him battle hordes of the undead. The apocalyptic action movie, due out in 2012, follows Pitt's character Gerry Lane, a United Nation employee who documents the zombie pandemic. The Killing's Mirielle Enos will co-star in the flick, portraying his wife.
When he hasn't been busy shooting, Clark Kent Pitt has been enjoying the Scottish countryside with partner Lois Lane Angelina Jolie and their six kids, who are residing in a rented country estate. Directed by Marc Forster, World War Z wraps filming in the next few weeks, and will hit theaters on December 2012.
