Colton Harris-Moore, the 20-year-old criminal infamous for stealing the rides of the rich and famous, sometimes while not even wearing shoes, is making out like a bandit once again.

20th Century Fox execs know a good story when they see one, and Harris-Moore's cocky crime spree (it included swiping a boat, five planes, a couple of cars and, oh yeah, robbing over 100 houses) seems like a script that would practically write itself. Which is probably why Fox has offered Harris-Moore a cool $1.3 million for the movie rights to his life story.

Unfortunately for our barefoot buddy, he will not see a single dollar of this massive payout. Instead, he is willingly handing over his colossal paycheck to his victims. Harris-Moore released a statement claiming that he has "zero interest in profiting from any of this," and that he only agreed to sign the deal "if an agreement could provide full recovery to the victims whose property I invaded and stole."

Kid had balls of brass to commit crimes like that, and now he has a heart of gold too? We're slightly skeptical, but with Dustin Lance Black (Milk, Big Love) penning the script and David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, Eastbound & Down) directing, this is still one story we'd cough up $10.50 to see. That is, as long as those rumors about Zac Efron taking on the leading role aren't true.
