Apple Products To Be Made by Millions of Robots, Not Humans

Apple manufacturer Foxconn wants to cut down its human workforce.

None

Though not quite SkyNet, the thought of robots replacing human labor—especially in this global economy—to produce products as common as the iPhone and iPad is a bit disconcerting in a world-is-ending kind of way. Foxconn, a Chinese manufacturer of Apple parts, wants to expand its fleet of 10,000 robots to a mind-blowing million within three years in order to complete tasks such as welding and assembly.

So—in light of all this debt ceiling talks here in the States—a quick circular view of this whole thing: the U.S. outsources labor to China, US falls in debt to China, and now the Chinese want to use robots. Canada’s looking kind of sweet right now.
