Basketball fans were ecstatic to see the inclusion of His Airness himself in last year’s NBA 2K11. Including him in the game really set the bar high for subsequent entries in 2K’s basketball series, but this year they seem intent on topping that with the inclusion of not just Michael Jordan, but a lineup of 15 of the greatest players ever to set foot on the court in NBA 2K12.
In a press release issued this past week, 2K Games announced that the following players would be making their way back onto the court in this year’s edition of the game.

- Jerry West
- John Stockton
- Julius Erving
- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
- Karl Malone
- Larry Bird
- Magic Johnson
- Michael Jordan
- Oscar Robertson
- Patrick Ewing
- Scottie Pippen
- Wilt Chamberlain
Each of the icons has been meticulously recreated in the game to allow players to bring their likenesses into today’s world of basketball. All of their signature styles and moves will be accurately portrayed, letting us see once and for all how they would fair on today’s court.
