George Clooney has always been known for his on-set pranks. His wars with Brad Pitt during the filming of Ocean's Eleven are the stuff of legend, and now, on the set of The Ides of March, co-star Ryan Gosling has fallen victim.

The pair star together in the upcoming drama and Gosling, speaking to Extra, spoke on being punk'd by the acting activist. "He will come up to you and tell you something very serious," he says. "Then you walk away and you realize your pants are wet. He's had like an Evian spray bottle, spraying your crotch the whole time."

Ides of March, which Clooney also directed and co-wrote based on Beau Willimon's play Farragut North, follows a green press secretary who succumbs to the dirty game of politics as he works to get his candidate elected in a tight race. Meanwhile, Gosling co-stars alongside Steve Carell in Crazy, Stupid, Love, which is in theaters on July 29 this year.

You can see Clooney and Gosling together in cinemas this October.
