One of the most highly anticipated games of 2011 is the upcoming MMO from BioWare, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and while there have been grumblings that it may delay into 2012, pre-order details have restored our faith in the Force.  For $59.99, you get the standard edition of SWTOR which includes 30 days of play (yes, it requires a subscription after that), early access to the game and an in-game color stone, which allows you to change the color of your lightsaber and blaster bolts.  The digital deluxe edition ($79.99) is only available through Origin and includes the goods from the standard edition plus an additional five in-game items: Flare Gun, Training Droid, HoloDancer, HoloCam and a STAP vehicle.

For those of you with wallets the size of Jabba the Hutt’s appetite, you can shell out $149.99 for the Collector’s Edition, which includes everything in the digital deluxe version plus all of the swag shown above:

Exclusive Gentle Giant Darth Malgus statue
Star Wars: The Old Republic game disks in collectible metal case
The Journal of Master Gnost-Dural annotated by Satele Shan
Star Wars: The Old Republic galaxy map
Custom Security Authentication Key (Protects your account from theft)
Music of Star Wars: The Old Republic CD
High-quality Collector's Edition box
Mouse Droid Companion
Collector’s Edition Store (Exclusive vendor with in-game items)

SWTOR has a ton of fan expectation to live up to and is costing millions of dollars to develop.  Despite the pressures, we believe the Force is strong with BioWare and for many, it will definitely be the game they’re looking for.  [via Destructoid]
