Jason Sudeikis is on a bit of a roll here in 2011 (the dud that was Hall Pass notwithstanding): he stars in Horrible Bosses (out today), hosted the MTV Movie Awards, and has a reputation for being one of the funniest SNL cast members currently employed by the NBC stalwart (never mind that he's woefully underused). File this news under, "The hits just keep on coming": Sudeikis will join the cast of Eastbound & Down in season three.
It will just be a recurring role, but Sudeikis is set to play a "new friend" of Kenny Powers (Danny McBride), a possibly gullible and "enthusiastic" baseball player.
Season three of the comedy will return to its North Carolina roots. Insert your favorite Kenny Powersism here.
