While Simon Cowell fumbles around with his X Factor judging crew—and with American Idol—still chugging along in the ratings—there doesn't seem to be much room for another singing competition show (see also, The Voice), but that doesn't mean Snoop Dogg doesn't have his sights set on entering the fray. And he's actually got a great idea.
According to the New York Post, Snoop has been talking to the networks about doing a rap version of American Idol. So far, none of the networks has seemed interested (why not?), but Snoop has had positive meetings with E! and MTV.
Says a source close to the proceedings: "He wants to bring in an old-school legend, and he wants to get Jay-Z. Snoop has wild ideas about who he can get to judge, but most are probably unlikely, including Jay." For his part, Wiz Khalifa is reportedly interested in participating, too.
