Because typing can get a little tiresome and, admit it, is a little played-out, speech recognition represents a step into the future. Nuance has been one of the main proponents of the technology with their Dragon NaturallySpeaking software and the latest update capitalizes on current crazes while still pushing things forward.

Not only does the Dragon Remote Mic App turn your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch into a remote for your computer, but the mic will obviously make the experience completely hands-free. However, since Nuance’s software is PC-only, the limitations are almost paradoxical.

Additionally, the new, PC-only Dragon Naturally Speaking 11.5 can now directly update your Twitter and Facebook, saving you those few extra clicks while increasing the probability that you’ll likely enter something embarrassing into the social media sphere, given less barriers.

Slowly but surely, keyboards will be a thing of the past—but not for Mac owners, it seems.
