Scheduled for release sometime in the fall, Microsoft’s mobile OS update, Mango—otherwise known as 7.5—looks to be a complete overhaul in adding more than 500 features to the existing Windows Phone 7 OS.
Most notable is the ability, afforded by HTML 5, to now listen to music through the Internet browser even if you’re doing something else—updating contacts, using an app—or if you lock your phone. Additionally, Xbox Live Voice chats and parties can now be had on your mobile device, so you can shit-talk your eleven-year-old Black Ops playmates anytime.
Other interesting features include Bing’s app search integration into its web search results, as well as Bing “Vision,” which identifies products and media when you snap pics of an item’s barcode.
