On June 21, Skarlet will be available for download for Mortal Kombat for 400 Microsoft points.  Three additional warriors—Kenshi, Rain and one unknown character—will be released throughout the summer at the same cost.  If you’re looking to get a discount on these DLCs, you should sign up for the Mortal Kombat Season Pass, which will get you all of the downloadable warriors (when they become available) for 1200 Microsoft points.  Each new warrior includes a full move set, ladder arcade story ending and two fatalities.

If you play Mortal Kombat online and don’t want to shell out the dough for the extra characters, free compatibility packs will be required so you can face opponents that use the DLC warriors.  The incentive for downloading the compatibility packs comes in the form of two free klassic skins per pack.  The extra skins are included for season pass members. Unfortunately, the Mortal Kombat Season Pass is only available on Xbox Live, but PS3 owners can purchase the individual DLC characters (for $4.99) and get the compatibility packs with free klassic skins.
