Considering HBO has been running teasers for Curb Your Enthusiasm for quite some time, news that the Larry David-led series will return on July 10 is hardly surprising. What is surprising? That two of the guest stars David and HBO lined up for the New York-based season will be Mookie Wilson and Bill Buckner.

According to an HBO press release, both former baseball stars will make appearances during the latest Curb run, meaning you can only assume that they'll appear together. After all, Wilson and Buckner are forever linked by Game 6 of the 1986 World Series, when the New York Mets defeated the Boston Red Sox thanks to an error Buckner made on Wilson's ground ball. The Mets would go on to win the series in Game 7, prolonging the Red Sox losing ways for another 17 years.

To say this has all the makings of a perfect comic moment on Curb is an understatement. The new season begins on July 10 at 10 p.m. on HBO. Tune in.
