File this under "Crazy awesome rumor": The Daily reports that Dave Chappelle is planning a return to series television. Without the television.
“Dave Chappelle’s going back to TV,” said a source to The Daily's Richard Johnson. “It’s not for a network. It’s for Netflix or Crackle or some other subscription service.” So, he's not going back to TV. But he is planning... something.
This is all speculation at this point, but to fuel the rumor fires, not that Chappelle has been doing stand-up comedy in San Francisco and Los Angeles lately. Also of note, that Netflix is teaming with David Fincher for a new series. Perhaps Chappelle is joining the company as they attempt to create original content?
