In this day and age, establishing an online presence for your small business isn’t enough—a mobile operation has become a necessity, too. Seizing on this, Google has expanded its website-building “Sites” service allowing you to now building mobile ones, too.

Offering templates for restaurants, local businesses, eCommerce sites, among others, the mobilized “Sites” is streamlined and simplified, but feature-heavy as well—food menus and shopping carts courtesy of Google Checkout are some of the built-in options.

And though custom templates are available, the mobile sites can never get too sophisticated. Thus, it seems, the service is catering more to the business-to-business crowd. Yet, in not requiring any HTML knowledge, "Sites" offers a semblance of universality.
