Exhibit See: "Notes From Afghanistan" Opens on Thursday (6/9) in NYC

Photography from a country in tumult.

Ghazal Sotoudeh, the photographer featured in this exhibition, was born in Tehran, from where she had to flee in 1981. She ended up in France, where she worked with photo-journalist Reza. After spending two years in Afghanistan, Sotoudeh presents 20 portraits of Afghani people in order to show us, as the gallery's site proclaims, that "Afghanistan is the country of the Afghans, not of the Taliban."
