Apple today announced that the next installment of its award-winning digital video editing suite, Final Cut Pro X, is now available for purchase from the Mac App Store for $299.
FCP X was unveiled at the 2011 NAB Show back in April. According to Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, FCP X is the "biggest advancement in Pro video editing since the original Final Cut Pro." Completely rebuilt from the ground up, FCP X will feature a score of new features including: instant background rendering, new Inline Precision Editor, a new timeline index, resolution-independent playback, built-in color matching, and content auto-analysis that organizes your imported content by shot type, media, and people.
Apple also released new versions of its effects editor, Motion, and digital video export tool, Compressor. Both are available now from the Apple Mac Store for $50.
