Will Ferrell And Mark Wahlberg To Reunite For “Turkey Bowl”

The Other Guys co-stars are back at it for a new sports comedy.

Will Ferrell has evidently spun his sports wheel yet again, and this time it has landed on football. According to Deadline, Ferrell and his The Other Guys co-star Mark Wahlberg are set to reconnect for the pigskin comedy Turkey Bowl, about two men who engage in a tackle football game for bragging rights against the rowdy residents of a rival town.

Written by 30 Rock producer Robert Carlock and Friends producer Scott Silveri, Turkey Bowl will mark Ferrell’s return to the well-worn sports comedy genre, which he has dominated for the better part of a decade with movies such as Semi-Pro, Kicking And Screaming, Blades Of Glory, and Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby.

With Ferrell's longtime collaborator Adam McKay busy trying to get The Boys off the ground, it'll be interesting to see who will direct Turkey Bowl. One thing is for sure, though—Ferrell is rapidly running out of sports to parody, so we should all be preparing for his inevitable foosball comedy within the next few years.
