Still with us? Great. It takes place in a lawless space environment that gives off a heavy Firefly vibe; there’s a gold rush going on, but the precious material is rift energy (aka Blue Gold) and people are willing to do anything to get their hands on it—despite the fact that it mutates you for doing so.
