Netflix has officially struck a deal with Miramax to stream hundreds of the iconic movie production studio's films over the next five years. Miramax, which was long run by the Weinstein brothers with backing from Disney until the former left to form The Weinstein Company and the latter sold the property to an investment group last year, has a back catalog that includes classics like Pulp Fiction, There Will Be Blood, Sex, Lies, and Videotape, City of God and about 560 more. Under the deal, which reportedly cost $100 million, Netflix is expected to offer the films for streaming on a staggered basis, as opposed to making them all available all the time. Looks like you just got about 566 more reasons to make it a Netflix night.
