Trailer Park: "Napoleon Dynamite" Animated Series Is About Six Years Too Late

This text will be replaced

After its premiere in 2004, the cult phenomenon that was Napoleon Dynamite went from cool, to ubiquitous, to completely played out. Though it was definitely entertaining, and we've all had fun watching people dress up as the symbolic nerd for Halloween, more than half a decade has passed since the film's initial popularity. So why bother with an animated series? The answer: Jon "Napoleon Dynamite himself" Heder has nothing better to do.

Admittedly, the new trailer isn't a total crock. It's worth noting that the original cast members have all signed up to contribute their voices. But, as pessimistic as this may sound, do we really care at this point? The show won't premiere until 2012 (on Fox), so maybe we'll actually care by then.

As of now, though, this teaser doesn't seem too appealing. What do you think?
