Here's some shocking news for fans of House (there are still some of you out there, we're sure): Lisa Edelstein will reportedly leave the show at the end of the season.
One-half of Huddy (the precious nickname House fans have for the romance between Hugh Laure's House and her Cuddy), Edelstein was in the middle of a contract negotiation with Fox when she decided to move on. The network wanted her to take a paycut for the eighth (and likely final) season of the show; she did not.
Said Edelstein in a statement: "After much consideration, I am moving onward with a combination of disappointment at leaving behind a character I have loved playing for seven years and excitement of the new opportunities in acting and producing that lie ahead."
No word yet on what this means for the character and the relationship on House.
