To the surprise of no one, the Italian-set fourth season of Jersey Shore will be delayed. Don't fist-pump your hand through a wall just yet, though; the show will only be held back for a short amount of time.
Here's the deal: Because Italian president Giorgio Napolitano is visiting Florence this week, the production has been put on hold. "In the ongoing spirit of cooperation, we’re waiting until his official visit concludes to start filming,” said MTV in a statement.
It seems that Napolitano would have curtailed filming opportunities for the GTL'ing cast members of Jersey Shore. Who knew the Italian president loves avoiding grenades at the hottest Florence clubs as much Pauly D and The Situation?
