Disney Trademarks "Seal Team 6," The Unit That Killed Osama Bin Laden

The House of Mouse isn't going to miss out on all the profits to be made from killing the world's most notorious terrorist leader.

Looks like the House of Mouse is aiming to hit Hollywood with the precision of a tactical strike team. The Walt Disney Company, capitalizing on current events, has trademarked "Seal Team 6," which also happens to be the name of the elite special forces squad that killed Osama bin Laden.

FishbowlNY uncovered threetrademarkapplications that came on May 3, two days after the operation that killed the man who claimed responsibility for the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, and two days after "Seal Team 6" was included in thousands of news articles focusing on the operation.

Disney's application covers "clothing, footwear, headwear, toys, games, and entertainment and education services," among other things.

We never thought that Disney could stoop so low to think how they can make money off of a "Seal Team 6" trademark, but fear not, you can expect the Osama bin Laden raid video game and Snuggie set to be just around the corner.
