Amazon wants to be wherever the money is. The online retailer recently opened an Android App Store to directly compete with Google's own Android Market and rake in some money from the ever-increasing apps market. Now, Jeff Bezos and Co. are taking aim at Apple with its newly launched Mac Downloads Store.
Amazon's Mac Downloads Store is set to do battle with Apple's Mac App Store which allows users to download software to their computers. The Mac Downloads Store does the same exact thing, and even manages to one-up Apple by offering software not available in the Mac App Store like, Microsoft Office.
The rivalry continues.
