Al Pacino Lands Role In “Gotti: Three Generations”

Just when you thought he was out of the mafia world, they've pulled him back in. Al Pacino has been tapped to play Neil Dellacroce in the mobster biopic Gotti: Three Generations, according to The Playlist. Dellacroce, for those not up on their gangster knowledge, was a well respected and powerful member of the Gambino crime family.

The move re-teams Pacino with director Barry Levinson, who took over the reigns from Nick Cassavetes. The two worked together on the Emmy-winning You Don't Know Jack. Pacino will be joined by a strange yet intriguing cast that includes Joe Pesci, Kelly Preston, Lindsay Lohan and John Travolta as Gotti Sr.

Gotti: Three Generations will focus on the Gambino crime family, but more specifically the relationship betweem John Gotti Jr. (who's yet to be cast) and his all-powerful father. The movie is on track for a 2012 release.
