Trailer Park: "X-Men: First Class" (New Full Length Trailer)

Yet another impressive preview featuring the underdeveloped mutant clique.

It's official: X-Men: First Class is the comic book movie to beat this summer.

In the mutant prequel's latest, and best, trailer, both the plot, which takes place during the Cuban missile crisis, and effects-heavy money-shots are given equal focus. The brewing conflict between young Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) is captured as their views clash on mentoring a circle of young mutants. We can dispute that the latest trailer is a bit spoiler-friendly, but, since it's an origin story and all, fans should already know the outcome before the movie even begins.
And that's perfectly fine when a trailer looks as good as this one. Better than the movie's first look, this preview nicely plays up the '60s vibe, which should distinguish X-Men: First Class from the rest of this summer's superhero fare. Plus, shots of January Jones (and her cleavage) as White Queen and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique prove that director Matthew Vaughn's prequel will also be the hottest fanboy flick to hit within the May-through-August stretch.

So, yeah... We're pretty excited.

X-Men: First Class hits theaters on June 3.
