Now that Limitless, his first post-The Hangover shot at leading man success, has shown his box office clout, Bradley Cooper is a hot property in Hollywood. So what's his next step? Pursuing the recently announced remake of The Crow, to be directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later).

The dark project will be a re-imagining of Alex Proyas' 1994 comic-book adaptation, about a rock star who returns from the dead to take revenge on his killers, that starred the late Brandon Lee.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news of talks between Cooper and Fresnadillo, which reportedly happened in Spain. Sources tell the site that "the two hit it off and shared a vision for the character and the film." Cooper may adopt a different look contrary to the character's dark eye makeup and heavy foundation costume seen in the past.

Up next for Cooper is The Hangover Part II, in theaters May 26.
