Verizon's first phone for its new 4G LTE network, the HTC Thunderbolt, is doing pretty well for itself, outselling the mighty iPhone 4 in its first quarter on Big Red. Now the carrier is announcing the next in its line of phones with super fast connection speeds, and this time its teaming up with Samsung.

The Droid Charge, as the device is known, sounds pretty impressive. In addition to the 4G speeds, the phone will come with a big, bright 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 8 megapixel camera in back, 1.3 megapixel camera in front and 1 ghz processor.

Now there's good news and bad news. The good news is: the Droid Charge will be available in just one week on April 28th. The bad news is: the Droid Charge will cost you a hefty $300. It looks like Verizon is selling its LTE handsets at a premium, as the Thunderbolt went for $250-- a bump up from the industry standard of $199.

Expect more on this thing as we get closer to ship date.
