We weren't big Tyler Perry fans to begin with, but we're even less fond of dude since it appears he swag-jacked us with his latest marketing campaign.
For his new film, Madea's Big Happy Family, which stars Bow Wow and inspired our list of The 25 Worst Movies Starring Rappers, a series of posters feature Madea in spoofs of popular movies and television shows (apparently a dude in grandma drag isn't hilarious enough). Oddly enough, on April Fool's Day 2010, we put together Tyler Perry's 5 Oscar Bait Films that would help his wack-ass get recognized by the Academy. There is more than a slight similarity.
Take a look at our posters, then his, and let us know if you think Tyler Perry ripped off our Madea marketing campaign.

WTF ARE YOU TAWKING ABOUT?

Not to defend TP, but he didn't jack the "campaign"--he didn't use any of the movies/posters you guys used--just the concept. Just my 2-cents.

Tyler Perry did what anyone that is being HATED on would do.. not trash the haters, but if they hate them let em hate & watch yo money pile UP. He used what yall made to trash him and turned it into a positive thing. And the academy doesn't notice him because he's black and his actors are black.
Don't be such a fool April 22nd, 2011 at 08:55 PM
Because black actors have never won Academy Awards... You're defense couldn't be any dumber. Spike Lee's openly criticized his horrible work. What do you have to say about that?

Half ya"all commenting against TP movies probably love in the suburbs with a "happy family". Black life is like TP movies. Just cuz ya"ll ain"t struggled doesn"t mean you shouldn"tm try to understand his movies. Even if you don"t like his film-making style. Ya'all are uncle toms. And Jay is right. If they hate them let them hate & watch the money pile up.

the ad agency that made the tyler posters (ignition) is known for stealing ideas so this is of no surprise.
