You're definitely going to want to DVR the season finale of The Office. With Steve Carell's tenure on the hit show down to a precious few episodes, TVLine reports that three major television players will join Will Ferrell, Will Arnett and Ricky Gervais on the season finale. Will one of these stars become the new boss at Dunder-Mifflin?
The lucky ones are Ray Romano, James Spader and British comic Catherine Tate. All three will appear on the finale, and apparently interview for the head position at D-M's Scranton branch.
As TVLine notes, it seems unlikely that Arnett, Ferrell, Gervais or Romano will be the choice—they've all got various other commitments that would prevent them from full-time series work—but Spader and Tate could find their way to weekly comic glory. Of the two, Spader is the most well-known, but Tate might be the better choice specifically because she isn't well-known.
Whoever they choose, though, it seems the Office producers are certainly casting a wide net for this search.
