Just last week Showtime announced that it had ordered a 13-episode commitment for Homeland—the new political thriller from 24 creator Howard Gordon—and now here's your first look.
Homeland stars Claire Danes as a CIA operative who isn't all that convinced that a recently recovered and presumed dead POW (Damian Lewis) is on the level. Put another way: She thinks he was turned by the bad guys, and is now a sleeper agent on American soil. The trailer offers shades of 24 and just a little bit of The Manchurian Candidate. Translation: You're going to want to DVR this one when it premieres in the fall.
