In a post published on its Android Developer's blog, Google today announced that direct carrier billing is now available to Sprint customers.
Already made available to AT&T and T-Mobile customers, direct carrier billing will allow subscribers using an Android phone to purchase apps from the Android Market by having the cost billed to their wireless account.
"We believe that Direct Carrier Billing is a key payment option because it lets users purchase and pay for apps more easily," wrote Google's Eric Chu. "It’s also important because it offers a convenient way to buy in regions where credit cards are less common."
If you don't yet have the option to charge Android apps to your account, don't worry. Google says the service should be available to all Sprint customers over the next few days.
