Adult Swim has picked up an animated version of the 2009 blaxploitation revival comedy Black Dynamite for a spring 2012 debut. Already home to a host of genre tribute shows, including the Conan O'Brien-produced Eagleheart, starring Chris Elliott as a late ‘70s/early ‘80s TV detective, the 30-minute Black Dynamite series will fall under the direction of Carl Jones (The Boondocks).

The show further chronicles the exploits of the central character, an ex-CIA agent and full-time ladies man (voiced by the film's star Michael Jai White), and his crew as they avenge the death of his brother against kung-fu masters, drug-dealing pimps, and The Man.

In addition to White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley, and Byron Minns, all of whom co-starred in the feature film, will lend their voices to the show. Can you dig it?
