Peter and Bobby Farrelly have finally found their loveable simpleton, Larry Fine, in award-winning comedic actor Sean Hayes.

Best known for playing "Jack" on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace, the Chicago native joins comedian/actor Will Sasso (MADtv), who was cast last month as Curly. This just leaves the role of Moe without an actor in place. No word on whether The Simpson's Hank Azaria, rumored to be the frontrunner, will accept the role.

After more than 12 years of trying to get the Stooges in front of a new audience, it seems that now things are finally moving in the right direction. The Farrelly Brothers' goal is to present, as Peter has said, "85 minutes of laughs in a film that will be very respect of who the Stooges were. It's by far the riskiest project we've ever done, without question, but it is also the one closest to our hearts."

The Three Stooges will be divided into three 27-minute segments and will, so they say, hew closer to Dumb and Dumberthan anything else the brothers have done.
