Common To Play An Ex-Con In "L.U.V."

Do you L.U.V. Lonnie Rashid Lynn's progression as an actor?

None

It has just been announced that Chicago MC Common is attached to star in an independent feature film entitled L.U.V.

The project centers on a day in the life of William "Woody" Watson (played by newcomer Michael Rainer Jr.), a shy 13-year-old in search of a family and a better life. Common plays Woody's Uncle Vincent, whose past life of crime catches up to him, and young William is forced to decide whether to stay on his uncle's side or go against him.

Joining the G.O.O.D. Music ambassador on this emotional rollercoaster is a cast of seasoned actors: Dennis Haysbert, Danny Glover, Charles S. Dutton, Meagan Good, and Boardwalk Empire's Michael K. Williams are all on hand to participate in director Sheldon Candis' feature film debut.

Common recently finished filming roles in New Line Cinema's New Year's Eve, set for release on December 9, and Disney's The Odd Life Of Timothy Green.

Candis, a USC School of Cinematic Arts graduate, is set to begin principal photography this week in Baltimore.
