Tomorrow, the Museum of Arts and Design hosts a carefully chosen assortment of writers, designers, and artists to look at the recent media trend embracing a global African aesthetic and identity. Of course, given that Africa is a continent made up of many different countries, each with their own culture, it seems deeply problematic, this idea of an African identity. Most likely that will be a talking point Thursday. Put on your most fashionable thinking cap.

In attendance tomorrow will be Bethann Hardison, Editor-at-Large Vogue Italia, Oroma Elewa, founder and editor-in-chief Pop'Africana, Zandile Blay, Essence.com Fashion Editor, Emil Wilbekin, Essence Managing Editor, as well as Lola Ogaunnaike.
