Facebook Launches New Mobile Site

The social network sets its sights on improving the mobile web experience for every phone user.

According to Erick Tseng, Facebook's head of mobile, a large majority of its 250 million monthly users access the network through its mobile site. Makes sense, right? To ensure that those visitors have the best possible experience, the company has launched a completely new mobile site: m.facebook.com

Set to replace the current mobile site as well as the separate outdated mobile site for touchscreen phones, touch.facebook.com, the new site will look and operate better on every device. It'll also be much cleaner, and its code will continue to be modified in the coming months.

Tseng also said Facebook will put priority on its mobile website over the development of native phone apps.
