We swear, this isn't a Funny or Die skit; Casa De Mi Padre (House Of My Father) is a legitimate movie, and it looks hilarious.

The idea of dropping a straight-faced Will Ferrell into an overblown Spanish telenovela/western is a stroke of genius. To authenticate the production, he's joined by Gael García Bernal (The Motorcycle Diaries) and Diego Luna (Milk), two of Mexico’s premier talents. This Spanish language comedy centers on Armando Alvarez (Ferrell), who’s a dirty rancher facing financial difficulties. His younger brother Raul (Luna) returns with a gorgeous fiancé, Sonia (Genesis Rodriguez), and offers to take care of the financial issues. But things tumble downhill once Alvarez hooks up with Sonia and a drug kingpin named Onza (Bernal) shows up.

By the looks of it, Armando Alvarez has all the makings of another classic Ferrell character, a la Ron Burgundy and Frank "The Tank" Ricard. Will this one be more Step Brothers than Land Of The Lost? There's no release date for the film yet, but we can't wait to judge for ourselves.
