No, it’s not what the title might lead you to believe. This documentary, part of the San Francisco International Film Festival, which runs until May 5, documents the strange, bloody journey of General Butt Naked, a Liberian warlord infamous for the widespread slaughter of his own countrymen during the Liberian Civil War. He recruited child soldiers and murdered thousands, but somehow found God after the 14-year war and walked the country asking for forgiveness from the relatives of his victims. Despite the ludicrous title, this is a hard film to watch, but not one that can be ignored.—Finn Cohen
