The 10:30 a.m. start time for the childhood classic suggests that this is meant to be enjoyed by a younger audience (there's even a special intro by the Brookline Puppet Showplace). But if you can fight the hangover from last night's Together festivities, and tolerate sharing a theatre with kids, this will be a real treat. Childhood flicks don't get much trippier than this, and it's considered one of the great fantasy epics. The film has great special effects—especially for a flick made in 1984—and should look amazing on the big screen.
Reminisce, watch your language around the kids, and enjoy the adventures of Bastian and Atreyu as the try and save Fantasia from the evil Nothings.
