Premature Declaration: "Spider-Man: Edge Of Time" Announcement Comes Early

Apparently, Activision just couldn't wait to blow their webload.

It seems that Beenox and Activision couldn’t wait for WonderCon to announce the follow up to Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. Today they released a press release unveiling Spider-Man: Edge of Time. The title finds Spidey saving himself (yeah, we don’t get it either). The dual Mr. Parkers come into play as players take on the roles of O.G. Amazing Spider-Man and futuristic Spider-Man 2099 to correct a timestream gone awry and prevent a catastrophic future brought on by the early and untimely death of Peter Parker (we still don’t get it, but it sounds cool).

According to Activision, the game also features all-new "cause-and-effect" gameplay, where players will see the immediate and sometimes unexpected effects of their actions as one Spider-Man changes the timeline of the other Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Edge of Timehits shelves this fall.
