"Once Upon a Time" Adds Jennifer Morrison

The former "House" star will topline the ABC pilot from "Lost" producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz

As we've learned during this pilot casting season, every series needs an attractive female lead to separate itself from the pack. With that in mind, let's give a round of applause to Once Upon a Time, which has apparently realized that two is almost always better than one.

On the heels of casting Ginnifer Goodwin as a Snow White-type, producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have selected Jennifer Morrison as the lead of their pilot. The former House star -- who has most recently appeared as Ted's latest love on How I Met Your Mother -- will play Anna, "a woman drawn into the small town of Storybrook where the magic and mystery of fairy tales may be real." OK, then!

Considering the pedigree that Horowitz and Kitsis bring to the table (they were producers on Lost after all), plus the combination of Goodwin and Morrison, Once Upon a Time is already on our list of most-anticipated pilots. Let's hope this is one that makes it through the grueling season.
