We already knew Steve Carell would leave The Office before the end of the season, and now we've finally got some confirmation. TV Guide reports that NBC will air the final Michael Scott episode of the hit series on April 28, the first day of May sweeps.
Little is known about the episode in question -- while Carell's departure is widely spoiled, the events surrounding it are not -- but we are offered two hints: 1.) Will Ferrell will appear on the show. 2.) Michael will not die. "That was something we pitched forever," Mindy Kaling told TV Guide. "If it had been my decision, he would have been leaning on a pane of glass in the conference room and fallen to his death." Noted. Any guesses for how Michael leaves Dunder-Mifflin?
