Live Show Alert: Yoko Ono and Friends Play Benefit for Japan in NYC Tuesday (3/29)

With friends like Patti Smith, Antony of Antony and the Johnsons, Cibo Matto, and Tony Shanahan, you don't need a backing band.

None

Multi-media artist and musician Yoko Ono will be playing a special one-off show at Le Poisson Rouge this coming Tuesday. All proceeds from the show go to the relief effort in Japan (hence the steep ticket price). Even if this weren't a benefit for such a necessary cause, it would still be a must-see event

Not only will Ono's Plastic Ono Band be there, they'll be joined on stage by Patti Smith and her bassist Tony Shanahan, Antony of Antony and the Johnsons, and Cibo Matto, the avant-garde Japanese-American duo. Once-in-a-lifetime assemblage of artists right there.
